Sciperio has been developing digital printing (direct write) tools that span a number of applications ranging from electronics to biology.
Sciperio's core expertise lies in the development of new digital printing processes and methods to automate those processes feasibly. Sciperio is not redeveloping existing technologies. Its efforts focus on pushing the envelope of currently available methods and technologies (including its own). Sciperio has been developing tools that span a number of applications ranging from electronics to biology. In some cases, a similar platform can be used for laser cutting, electronic dispensing, chemical and biological combinatorial assays. Using laser and photonic techniques for detection and feedback as well as using precise controls for mechanical movements combined with controlling software enables custom digital printing applications.
The ramifications of the digital printing technologies (a.k.a. direct write) under development at Sciperio include:
- Microdispensing of electronics materials;
- Microdispensing of biological scaffolds and cells;
- Microdispensing of chemicals;
- Microdispensing of photonics materials;
- Laser short-pulse cutting;
- Laser sintering;
- Rare-event detection; and
- Optical Coherence Tomography.
