Sciperio's Dr. William Warren to Speak at NASA
Stillwater, OK, October 18, 2002 - Sciperio President Dr. William Warren was an invited speaker today at the Global Nano Conference at the NASA Training Center in Moffett Field, California. The Global Nano Conference delivers two full days of NASA-Ames nano & bio technology research; nano IP legal & licensing; global nano status, trends & deals; new nano ventures seeking funding, joint ventures & strategic alliances; leading edge nano VCs and networking.
Dr. Warren's talk, entitled "A Few Potential Nanotechnology-Enabled Business Opportunities" summarized work at Sciperio covering several areas in which nanoscience has the potential for significant commercial and/or sociological impact. Examples of areas in which "nano-enabled" advances are envisioned include: lasers and photonics; water harvesting technologies; conformal manufacturing processes; minimally invasive surgical procedure and tissue engineering. Researchers at Sciperio have collaborated with other businesses (large and small), national laboratories, and universities to develop, adapt and/or integrate enabling nanotechnologies into new systems and products.
According to Warren, "It has been Sciperio's experience that the most important tangible impact of the various nano-technologies is when they are successfully embedded within a micro/macro system in a seamless and facile fashion."
